Queen for a Day
Even if you've vetoed any notion of an all-male revue as part of your bachelorette scene, you may still end up hanging out with the guys, Well, technically... Reserve a table in front of the stage at Jacques in Boston's Bay Village where drag queens lip sync to pop favorites by Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera and Janet Jackson from 10:30 p.m. until the stroke of midnight. These divas really shake their groove things, too, with jazz splits galore and legs kicked higher than the Rockettes.

Of course, the gals at Jacques have more than a little pop star crooning and hip swaying in store for the bride-to-be. Be forewarned: your engagement ring might be scrutinized in the spotlight and your bridesmaid dress selection publicly questioned.

And if your bridesmaid force you to don the standard bachelorette veil, it's very likely you'll become part of the act at some juncture. But overall, the queens, garbed in fabulously low-cut, high-slit ensembles of pink velour and the like, enjoy showing the bride some love and attention (we're talking personal serenading and maybe even a little bump and grind). Don't forget to bring along a few dollar bills for tipping (and stuffing) when the stringers strut through the audience. (With a $10 ticket price, you'll have plenty of change to go around!)

After the show is over, just head a few blocks away to the Boylston Street clubs in the Alley so you can rejoin the land of the khaki-clad male until the bars close at 2:00 a.m.
